In the midst of
an article that shows 2014 ejections up almost 30% over last year, we find a great little vignette about Red Sox catcher
A.J. Pierzynski. Earlier in June, A.J. was upset with the strike-calling ability of young umpire
Quinn Wolcott. After
Brandon Workman issued a walk, Pierzynski turned and laid this beauty on Wolcott:
"Give me a new ball. One you can see." Pierzynski was quickly tossed from the contest. A.J. has gotten a lot of criticism this year (although we think he's gotten a
ton of clutch hits), but how can you not love this story?
