Sox Back At .500 After Walk-Off Loss To Twins

This one was good, bad, good again, bad again. Fifty-fifty—just like the season. After David Ortiz put The Carmine Hose up 1-0 with the first of his two HRs, Jake Peavy decided to have one his worst outings in a Red Sox uniform. In a 6-2 hole (after Papi's second HR—he went 4-4 with 4 RBIs), Boston chipped away and tied the game at six with a bases-loaded walk to Jonny Gomes. However, the seemingly bullet-proof Andrew Miller finally showed a weakness by yielding a walk-off two-run HR in the ninth for the final 8-6 loss. The Red Sox are back in MediocreVille at 19-19—with the mercurial Felix Doubront entrusted with the potential 20th win of the season.
