New Mayor Like Old Mayor—Fenway Tax Breaks

The NOG's all-time favorite Mayor may be out of office, but it looks like they have one who's just as compliant as Tom Menino was. New Boston Mayor Martin Walsh is proposing tax breaks for a stalled development alongside Fenway Park—with air rights stretching over the Massachusetts Turnpike. The $550 million "Fenway Center" retail and residential development will be an obvious boon to the Red Sox ownership group. Walsh is proposing a $4.6 million tax break for the developers.
