Poor 'Nava'-Gation |
Will Middlebrooks and
Shane Victorino are disproportionately important to the success of the 2014 Sox. Middlebrooks was just starting to heat up as another right-handed power bat in the order (beyond
Mike Napoli, PRONOUNCED: Na-
POLE-ee). Victorino's right-field defense is essential (especially in Fenway) and he is also someone who can jump-start the top of the line-up. Missing
both is a serious problem.
Daniel Nava's misplays in right and his lack of lead-off prowess is clearly hurting, and now—without Middlebrooks—there is
far less punch in the line-up. The result? Getting swept by a mediocre Brew Crew.
