Red Sox Take On Evil Ones Today At 1:05 PM

UPDATE: Jacoby NOT in lineup
It means nothing, of course. If Felix Doubront goes out and hurls six no-hit innings against The Bronx Embalmers today, it will have absolutely no impact on who hoists the 2014 World Series trophy. And yet, it is the Red Sox versus the Yankees. And it may feature Jacoby Ellsbury in home pinstripes facing his fellow 2013 World Champions (if he isn't hurt). The Red Sox know who their troops will be: Jackie Bradley Jr. CF; Jonny Gomes DH; Mike Carp LF; Ryan Lavarnway 1B; Xander Bogaerts SS; Corey Brown RF; David Ross C; Brandon Snyder 3B; Jonathan Herrera 2B. Not exactly their best Murderers' Row line-up—and it's minus the new Fort Myers Miracle: Grady Sizemore. So, many of us will take a peek at ESPN this afternoon—especially if Jacoby is playing—just to get the juices flowing again.
