The Red Sox announced this afternoon that
Jonathan Herrara had won the utility infielder job. At the same time, the team announced that infielder
Brock Holt and pitcher
Rubby De La Rosa were sent to the minor league camp. The team also reassigned infielder
Brandon Snyder. Herrera— acquired in a trade with the Rockies for
Chris Martin and
Franklin Morales—is hitting .276 so far this Spring.
