Red Sox Are Still Pursuing A Matt Kemp Trade

?????????
As we reported back on November 22nd, the Red Sox had expressed a keen interest in Dodger outfielder Matt Kemp. Now, according to Jon Morosi of FOXSports.com, that interest is still smoldering. Reportedly, the Red Sox are among three teams (along with Seattle and Texas) still in the trade hunt for the 29-year old Kemp—who is coming off two injury-plauged years. He still has six years and $130 million left on his contract with Magic Johnson—but part of that would get eaten by the former Michigan State star in any deal. The last time Kemp was fully healthy (2011), he was devastating—39 HRs, 126 RBIs and an OPS+ of 172. He finished second in the MVP voting that year. Never a dull moment around Fenway!
