NOG Hits Fans With Convoluted Tix Price Hike

Well, it looks the like the world championship afterglow lasted about two weeks. The Red Sox have announced an incredibly complicated "tiered" ticket pricing structure for 2014. Basically, to simplify it for all of us rubes in the Peanut Gallery: you pay 4.8% more than you did in 2013. The ownership group is trying to smooth over the increases by dangling their shiny new variable-pricing scheme—where games against the Yankees cost more than games against the Astros. First of all, the new structure is completely incomprehensible. Secondly, it just tries to mask the obvious price increases—more money is more money. Thanks for all the loyal the support, fans! Now, pay up.
