Officer Steve Horgan Is Now Famous Forever

If the 2013 Red Sox end up winning ring number eight, Boston Police Officer Steve Horgan may need to be on a duckboat. Horgan—a 27-year veteran of the force—can be seen in numerous images of David Ortiz's game-tying grand slam as he raised his arms in triumph in the Red Sox bullpen. The South Walpole, Mass. resident even had his picture taken with Red Sox Principal owner John Henry right after the game. The man is already an icon—Horgan, that is. The 50-year old recently began growing a beard in simpatico with the hirsute members of the team—and at his age, it's showing some speckles of white (not unlike the ancient David Ross). Horgan is not touching that beard—until you know when.
