Judge Halts Sale Of Globe To John Henry

A Worcester Superior Court judge halted the sale of the Boston Globe to Red Sox Principal Owner John Henry. The judge ruled that a pending lawsuit by Worcester Telegram & Gazette news carriers would be adversely affected by the sale of the Globe. The Worcester paper and the Globe are both currently owned by the New York Times Company. It's unclear how long the carriers suit could take—and thus how long the sale to Henry could be held up. Maybe Henry could buy the Liverpool Daily Post instead.
