Red Sox To Honor Mariano Rivera Sunday Night

Sox To Honor Rivera Sunday Night
According to the Providence Journal's Brian MacPherson, the Red Sox have announced that they will formally honor Yankee great Mariano Rivera before Sunday night's game at Fenway Park. Red Sox fans have always respected Rivera, and his goodwill toward the fans at the 2005 ring ceremony will never be forgotten. Without a doubt, Rivera is the greatest closer ever—compiling  651 saves (and counting) with basically one pitch. Thousands of batters have known his cutter was coming, very few have squared it up. All of us at FenwayNation salute Rivera and his amazing accomplishments over the last 19 seasons. He was the worthiest of adversaries.
