'Curse Of Gigli' Holds; Red Sox Lose Again, 2-1

Jake Peavy was the better pitcher—by far—until the seventh inning. His teammates were on another "SquanderPalooza" as they scored just one run on 11 hits (leaving 12 on base). But they were still up on the Jays, 1-0. Then, the infamous "Curse Of Gigli" kicked in. (EDITOR'S NOTE: Gigli is considered to be one of the worst films in motion picture history—behind Waterworld, of course.) Once again, the Red Sox failed to win on Ben Affleck's birthday—in a 2-1 loss at SkyDome. Peavy gave up one run on his own, then Craig Breslow allowed the game-winner. All in all, another disastrous loss—with another game shaved off their AL East lead. Tonight, The Fraudulent One brings his Bronx Circus to town. Mock away.
