Offense Is Lacking, Lackey Isn't; Sox Lose, 3-0

So much for bouncing back from a disastrous loss. The Red Sox offense was as flat as Alex Rodriguez's career path, poking out just five hits in a 3-0 loss to the Halos. John Lackey was once again stunningly good—going seven innings and giving up just two runs on five hits. The righty struck out nine and walked only one. Unfortunately it didn't matter. With only one extra base hit (a Jacoby Ellsbury double), this one was a lost cause. On to Seattle and King Felix Hernandez tonight.
