| Garin Cecchini On The Rise |
The way he was hitting, Red Sox third base prospect
Garin Cecchini had to get promoted soon. Sure enough,
WEEI.com's Alex Speier reports today that
Cecchini will be moved up from Single A Salem to AA Portland. Cecchini was hitting .350 in Salem—with a .469 on-base percentage (
the second-highest in all of minor league baseball). The 22-year old will make his home debut at
Hadlock Field this coming Monday. Keep an eye on this kid!
