Andrew Bailey has been placed on the DL with 'right biceps inflammation', the closer's job is firmly back in the hands of
Joel Hanrahan. Bailey's stint is backdated, so he will be eligible to return next Tuesday—but his history of lingering injuries suggests the contrary. To fill Bailey's spot on the roster, the team activated lefty
Craig Breslow from the DL. Breslow will give manager
John Farrell another option besides
Andrew Miller from the port side.
