Crappy '12 Boosts Sox International Bonus Pool

Sure, we had to suffer through The Sons Of Valentine and their 69 wins. But one of the positive outcomes of last year's dismal performance is a high ranking in the 2013-14 Bonus Pool for international signings. The Red Sox will have a bonus allotment of $3,179,900—the seventh highest amount of available pool cash in the upcoming signing period which starts on July 2nd. The Sox can use the money to ink international free agents. During the current signing period (2012-13), Boston (and every other team) had only $2.9 million to spend. Go crazy, BenCher!
