Surprising absolutely nobody, Red Sox manager
John Farrell announced this morning that Jon Lester will open the season on Monday at The Concrete Bunker On 161st Street. Lester has had a ridiculously good Spring on the mound, going 3-0 with a 0.90 ERA. Lester will be followed in the rotation by
Clay Buchholz,
Ryan Dempster,
Felix Doubront and
John Lackey. Buchholz will pitch the home opener on April 8th.
