Well, maybe you've heard of him if you're a fan of 29-year old mediocre left-handed pitchers from the Twins. Anyway,
Matt Maloney was signed by Boston to a minor league contract. Careerwise, Maloney has a 5.74 ERA over parts of four seasons. He's given up 116 hits in 91 innings. He's coming off Tommy John surgery, so he wouldn't be available to be awful until mid-year.
Maybe we shouldn't be so tough on the guy. After all, he
is a lefty. On second thought, welcome aboard, Matt! Here's hoping you take
