Kalish Down About Injury, 'Tired Of Being Hurt'

Kalish With A Fan
For a few years now, Red Sox fans have wanted to root hard for Ryan Kalish. He hustles, he's talented and has a burning desire to play for the Red Sox. Unfortunately, he has suffered multiple injuries in his short career—the latest a torn labrum in his right shoulder. As ESPNBoston.com's Joe McDonald reports, this has really brought Kalish down emotionally. Sitting in the clubhouse with a sling around his surgically repaired shoulder, Kalish said, “Honestly, I’ve been really down. It’s been really tough for me. I really just want to play again. Obviously, I want to play in the big leagues, but at this point I’m just tired of being hurt.” Let's hope he can return to the Red Sox outfield as soon as possible.
