Javier Vazquez is no dummy. He and his agent are relishing the interest shown by the Red Sox, Nationals, White Sox, Phillies, Royals, Rays and Mets. But,
they are in "no hurry" to sign, according to a report in
El Nuevo Dia. Also in the report was the following interesting Vazquez quote: "I’ve got the itch to pitch again. I didn’t have it before; but, now, I’m considering returning to pitch in the big leagues." The Red Sox could do a lot worse to shore up their rotation than sign the 36-year old righty.
