REPORT: Sox And Napoli Reach One-Year Deal

UPDATE: Deal is for one-year, $5 million
According to WEEI.com's Rob Bradford, the Red Sox and Mike Napoli have finally reached agreement on a one-year deal—down from the 3-year, $39 million deal reached earlier. Medical reports suggesting a new hip injury led to the renegotiation. It was obvious that Boston had to move fast to close this sad chapter, after Michael Morse (their last serious alternative at first base) was dealt from Washington to Seattle. So, the Napoli Era begins.
