Red Sox Might Make Half-Baked Napoli Deal

As we predicted just yesterday, the Red Sox are likely to come up with some half-baked compromise with Mike 'What Is Hip?' Napoli rather than just cut him loose and sign Adam LaRoche. And, please don't give us the second-round draft pick baloney. The Globe's Peter Abraham is reporting today that Boston is "still working on signing Mike Napoli". And, moreover, they are "hopeful" of getting it done. Wonderful.
