If there was an award for Most Nebulous Sports Story Of The Year, CBS.com's Jon Heyman would take the 2013 honors. Heyman reports that Mike 'What Is Hip?' Napoli and the Sox have "made progress" on a revised deal—and "there is a belief" that a deal will be struck sometime next week. However, Heyman also reports that "a new deal isn't done yet" and "Napoli and Boston are keeping their options open". So, basically, no change. By the way, my favorite part of the piece, is when Heyman states that Napoli "is said to have been working out". That's good, since Spring Training starts in about three weeks. At least that's the belief.
