With the paucity of real information on the
Mike 'What Is Hip?' Napoli fiasco, we're left to sift through tea leaves. A batch of such dregs were left by
Red Sox GM Ben Cherington in an interview on MLB Network Radio last night. While offering no concrete information on the impasse, he did offer this cryptic quote:
"All I can say is that at the outset of the off-season it was our intent to add offense at first base, and we pursued Mike Napoli as everyone knows. Until there's a deal, there's no deal, and it's clear, I think, everyone knows that there's some issues that we've had to try to work through." Well, now, what are we to make of this? Maybe the
