Red Sox May 'Knuckle-Down' For R.A. Dickey

Multiple sources are reporting that the Red Sox are among up to seven teams expressing serious interest in trading for 38-year old knuckle-baller R.A. Dickey. The Mets asking price is absurd: outfield phenom Jackie Bradley Jr. and shortstop-of-the-future Xander Boegarts. Red Sox GM Ben Cherington would be a fool to part with both—and even losing one of these potential cornerstones of "the next great Red Sox team" would seem to violate the long-term plan of the organization.
