Now, the choice is clear.
Kevin Youkilis can either accept more short-term cash to sign with the Evil Ones (1 year, $12 million) or take more cash over two years and re-join his old buddy Terry Francona in The Mistake By The Lake (2 years, $18 million). Truth be told, this should not be a difficult choice for Youkilis. You cannot put a price tag on the angst he will suffer all nine times he trudges into Fenway in Yankee laundry next year. Is it really worth $3 million in short money? Not bloody likely.
