Terry Francona will be able to manage
Mike Aviles again—this time with the Cleveland Indians.
Aviles was swapped from Toronto the The Mistake On The Lake today in exchange for an old Boston prospect (
Yan Gomes) and the pitcher that ended the season for Will Middlebrooks (
Esmil Rogers). It seems pretty obvious that Francona had something to do with the transaction. Once again, the Farrell-Francona-Aviles-Gomes-Rogers connection is all about the Red Sox. What else is new?
