Blue Jays Trade Puts Red Sox On Notice

Reyes The New Torontonian
The American League East—the division your 2012 Carmine Hose finished at the very bottom of—just got tougher. The Tornoto Blue Jays pulled off a blockbuster trade with the Miami Marlins, which transforms our fine feathered friends to the North into a much better ball club. Toronto gets Jose Reyes, Mark Buehrle, Josh Johnson, Emilio Bonafacio and John Buck. Miami gets Yunel Escobar, Henderson Alvarez, Adeiny Hechavarria, Jeff Mathis and a bunch of prospect nobodies. The Jays also get $4 million. All of a sudden, the Jays leap ahead of the dormant, hole-filled Red Sox in the division. BenCher—get moving!
