REPORT: Papi Seeking Two-Year, $25-$30M Deal

Papi Seeking 2-Year Security
According to a report in the Boston Herald, David Ortiz is seeking a two-year deal from the Red Sox—in the neighborhood of $25-$30 million dollars. That's about where he's at now in terms of annual compensation, and all signals point to the Red Sox giving Big Papi what he wants. While there is some danger in giving two years to an aging DH, we feel it's well worth the risk—especially given the current state of the team. We shall see.
