Cody Bars The Door; Sox Cake-Walk, 10-1

Cut it out, Cody! Sitting in David Ortiz's spot in the order, Cody Ross launched two three-run home runs in the midst of a 3-5 night, knocking in six runs en route to a 10-1 Boston win. That performance and Felix Doubront's six solid innings (one earned run) were almost the whole story, as Kevin Youkilis was held to a pitiful 1-4 . Oh yeah, and Adrian Gonzalez went 3 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs. Did we mention that Jacoby Ellsbury went 3 for 4 with three runs scored and is now hitting .302? The Sox are now two games over .500, a half-game out of second place in the AL East, and within a game of .500 at home.
