Cody Ross went yard twice (#10, #11), and drove in five to lead the Red Sox past the Braves, 9-4. Adrian Gonzalez also went yard (#6) and Will Middlebrooks notched another RBI on a sac fly. Aaron Cook pitched well enough to win, going five innings and giving up just two earned runs for his first win.

Kevin Youkilis got two hits in his last game in Carmine Hose—getting a standing "O" in a curtain call. Youk was an integral part of the 2007 championship run and also got a ring for the 2004 championship. For a time, he was one of the most productive hitters in the American League. He will be missed by the Nation.
