Red Sox Roster Resembles M*A*S*H Unit

With less than one week to go before pitches are thrown in anger, the Red Sox have eight—count 'em eight—players from the 40-man roster on the disabled list. As the Boston Globe's Peter Abraham points out, this might be some sort of MLB record.

Once again, questions have to be raised about the conditioning and medical philosophies of the Red Sox—how can one team have bungled so many health-related issues over the last three years? From Ellsbury to Youkilis to Lackey to Crawford to Dice-K to Jenks something needs to be corrected in this broken system.
