FenwayNation Poll shows that an overwhelming percentage of readers (84%) favor a proposal to make the designated hitter universal in
both the American and National leagues. As the chart shows, just 16% oppose the idea of DH universality. Reports indicate that both major league baseball and the players union support the idea—with some speculation that it could actually be implemented for the upcoming 2019 season (since de-bunked).
