FenwayNation Poll shows that a slim majority of readers (54%) are
opposed to the Red Sox re-signing closer
Craig Kimbrel—now a free agent. As the chart shows, a substantial minority (46%)
support re-signing Kimbrel. After turning down Boston's qualifying offer of $17.5 million, it has been
assumed that Kimbrel would get multiple long-term offers from other clubs—and choose to go elsewhere. So far though, it appears that the Red Sox are at least still in the mix for the 30-year-old's services for 2019 and beyond. You can still vote in the poll
