FenwayNation Poll shows that a plurality of readers (39%) think that the 2016 Red Sox infield defense will be "only fair". As the chart shows, a
total of 45% believe the defense will be
either "only fair" or 'poor'. Just under one-quarter (23%) consider the infield defense to be "excellent", while another 32% think it will be "good". Thus, by a
fairly narrow margin of 55% to 45%, readers have a positive assessment of the defensive capabilities of
Hanley Ramirez,
Dustin Pedroia,
Xander Bogaerts and
