Ticket re-selling giant
StubHub is holding brokers accountable who didn't follow through with their commitments in the hours after Derek Jeter announced his retirement. So, if you bought a ticket to Jeter's final regular season game (at Fenway Park in September) and the broker tried to re-list the tickets and up the price
after the announcement, you will be protected by
StubHub. The brokers can either honor the
original sale or they can keep their current bloated listing. In any event,
StubHub will find tickets at the current market price for the original buyer and charge the broker any difference.
